The Story Behind My Blog and My Journey as a Seoul Tour Guide
Hello! I’m Judy, the creator of the Day to Day Korea blog.
One of the biggest reasons I decided to start this blog came after meeting so many international guests as a tour guide. Originally, I worked as a freelance designer, but I was given an unexpected opportunity to become an Airbnb Experience host—and that’s how I began my journey as a guide as well.

I’ve always loved exploring new and trendy places, and I’ve had a strong interest in Korean history. That’s what made me think guiding could be both meaningful and enjoyable! ... and it truly has been.

It’s already been over a year since I started working as a guide. During that time, I’ve met so many wonderful people, shared great moments together, and felt a growing desire to offer even more helpful information. That’s why I decided to open this blog.
It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I can help make someone’s trip to Seoul more fulfilling, informative, and enjoyable. Reading the kind reviews my guests leave always touches me deeply and fills me with gratitude.
At the same time, what feels like everyday scenery to me often becomes something completely new and fascinating through the eyes of my guests. That perspective has been refreshing, and I find myself learning from them as well.
To provide more accurate and meaningful information, I’ve also been studying Korean history and tourism more seriously these days. I believe it’s important to share the right knowledge—especially with those who have come all the way to Korea out of genuine interest. I truly appreciate that, and I always want to give them as much as I can.
Currently, I offer my tour programs through Airbnb. The most popular one—since the very beginning—is a 5-hour customized walking tour of Seoul. I design the itinerary based on each guest’s preferences. While we do visit well-known spots, I also guide guests to hidden gems and meaningful places that locals love. Many guests really enjoy this personalized experience, and some even come back for another tour.
If you click on the link below, you can check out more details and reviews of my tour program.
Recently, I’ve also launched a shorter 3-hour walking tour where we explore some of Seoul’s older neighborhoods—places travelers often miss but end up loving. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful city views, visit atmospheric cafés I personally love, and try street food at local markets. It’s a balanced experience of walking, scenery, and authentic local flavors.
If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to check out that tour as well!
Moving forward, I plan to introduce more unique and carefully curated tours—such as sunset routes or nighttime experiences in Seoul.
I’ll also continue sharing hidden spots, trendy places, and memorable locations here on the blog, so please stay tuned—and I hope you’ll show lots of interest in both my blog and my tours. 😀
